MCI and Cisco Router Training

This project started as I reluctantly explained how to build multimedia simulations. Everything was diagramed on my refrigerator, and money was put on the table.

I built a training simulation for MCI using Toolbook on the Cisco 2501 router. It had many pages of information, but the important part was the simulation. You could do anything you wanted to the router everything from pulling out the screws and adding memory, to plugging in a terminal and programming the ip address.

MCI eventually had 45 more training modules developed for different routers, and they showed a significant improvement in operator performance. I rolled the simulation engine into a tool to make simulation training using Toolbook, and it was marketed under the SimulatorExpress name.
